Ellie has been working in the forests of the UK for the past seven years, producing work which explores the complex interrelationship between the landscape and the individual.

Seascapes is a stunning and important addition to Ellie Davies’ body of work. This series of images considers the rising sea levels and worsening flooding that takes place every winter in the area where Ellie grew up, the New Forest, in the South of England.

"I wanted Seascapes to speak about change, loss of control, the unknown. In some images the water that flows across dusk-darkened woodlands is ruptured by roiling currents, rushing inland. In others the forest is virtually obscured by bubbling waters.”
