Beautiful set of six carved oak dining chairs by Charles Dudouyt, featuring sculptural circular backs, patinated oak frames and original green velvet upholstery. This exceptional set of six dining chairs was designed by Charles Dudouyt and produced in France during the 1930s–40s. Dudouyt is celebrated for his sculptural woodworking, rustic-modern vocabulary and expressive geometries. These chairs represent some of his most recognisable design elements. Each chair features Dudouyt’s iconic sculpted circular backrests, carved in deep concentric rings that create a strong architectural profile. The frames are made of patinated oak, showing a warm, natural ageing that enhances the depth and richness of the wood grain.
