Thanks to a system of springs and counterweights, Vertebra was the first office chair in the world capable of responding automatically to the movements of its occupant, thus facilitating those who spend many hours sitting.
For this reason it is considered one of the first work chairs inspired by the principles of ergonomics and its very name was chosen to express the close relationship between the user's back and the movement of the chair.
In response to occupant movement, the seat and backrest automatically reposition themselves, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.
The positioning of a pin placed between the seat and the backrest means that when leaning forward, the user only has to flex the lower back.
And best of all, when moving forward the chair tilts up to six degrees, pushing the backrest forward as the user moves his legs forward.
