Vintage Design

This convertible sofa bed was designed by Jindřich Halabala and produced in the 1950s by UP Závody Rousínov, Pozořice factory, as confirmed by the original factory label. The piece features a veneered wooden base, upholstered seat and back cushions, and an integrated bedding storage compartment.

The sofa easily extends into a full-size bed, making it a practical yet elegant solution for small spaces. The wood finish is warm and contrasts nicely with the red-toned upholstery. The piece is in good vintage condition, showing only minor signs of use appropriate to its age.
