This Portrait of Andy Warhol at work - Red print-toning is an original color photograph realized by the French portrait artist Gerald Bruneau (Monte Carlo, 1947) between 1978 and 1980. During these two years Bruneau was ''the worker'' of the Factory, and at this time he realized two shots of Andy Warhol while he was painted alone in his atelier. Signed, numbered and stamped, our specimen is from a limited edition of only 5 pieces. In excellent condition, including a black painted wooden frame, under glass, this original portrait captures the creative gesture by the Pop art father. This Bruneau's portrait has the magic touch of the pictorial realism of the daguerreotypes. Gerald Bruneau (Monte Carlo, 1947), The French photographer, Gerald Bruneau, since 1989, for twenty years, has been part of the Grazia Neri Agency, through which he creates portraits, covers and services for the largest newspapers in the world such as ''Washington Post'', ''Time'', '' Newsweek '','' Le Figaro '','' Le Monde '','' Wall Street Journal '','' Der Spiegel '','' L'Espresso ''. In 1989 he realized the photographic reportages in Israel and in Kurdistan by Repubblica, in 1990 he photographed the 1 May in Tirana with the writer Giordano Bruno Guerri for the magazine ''Chorus'', and he made a reportage on the Red Army in Russia. But he also is the portrait photographer of the father of Popo art, Andy Warhol, indeed for two years (1978-80) he was ''the worker'' of the Factory, at this time two shots of the ''master'' came while he painted alone. After the death of the father of Pop Art in 1987, Gerald returned to photograph his home and the objects he owned. This series has become precious today because it brings us back to Warhol's intimacy: Andy's bedroom, the living room of his house with the paintings of famous contemporary painters, a wooden piggybank he kept in his basement.
