Vintage Design

This 1950s Italian wall sconce combines a compact sculptural form with refined materials. The design features a black-lacquered wall mount, a slender brass arm and a cylindrical black metal holder supporting a spherical opaline glass shade that provides a soft, diffused light. The backplate measures 9.5 cm by 7.5 cm (approximately 3.74 in by 2.95 in), making the piece easy to place even in narrow spaces. The interplay of matte black elements and warm brass accents gives the sconce a modern yet timeless character, ideal next to a bed, reading corner or hallway. It uses a standard E14 bulb, suitable for both Europe and North America with the appropriate wiring.

Condition report
The sconce is in good vintage condition, with light surface wear consistent with age and use. The brass shows a natural patina and some small spots of oxidation, while the black-lacquered parts have minor marks and small touch-ups, visible in the photos. The opaline glass shade is in very good condition, with no visible cracks or chips.
